Everett Initiative Going Strong! Olympia & Tumwater Postponed Until 2025.

** Signature gathering efforts are halted in Olympia and Tumwater so we can focus on Everett. The campaign is ending it’s efforts in 2024 in Olympia and Tumwater, but planning for 2025! **

We started this multi-city campaign with a hope and a dream. And in a short amount of time, we have gathered signatures, endorsements, and community support. It has been incredibly heartening and inspiring – thank you Olympia and Tumwater!

It turns out, Everett has a real good chance! For a city that size, the number of signatures needed is an incredibly small amount (1,000 required; 1,400 to be sure). After just a month of signature gathering, we’re at least a third of the way there.

We need to focus on getting at least one initiative on the ballot this November, so it’s all hands on deck in Everett for this year to make that happen.

Our efforts in Olympia and Tumwater aren’t ending. The organizing, outreach and education will continue as we gear up to start gathering signatures again, this time way earlier and with a stronger campaign in place, in Feb 2025.

Thank you to all those in Olympia and Tumwater who have gathered signatures – we honor your efforts, and appreciate the support as we all do our best to protect the ecosystems that are important to all of us.

Everyone is encouraged to help out the effort in Everett! You can do this by:

  • Volunteer to help us collect signatures in Everett
  • Spread the word via social media by following us on Facebook or Twitter/X.
  • Donating to the campaign so we can ensure that we get the word out and get enough signatures to qualify for the ballot this fall.
